Notion is an application that provides components such as notes, databases, kanban boards, wikis, calendars and reminders. It is an all-in-one application for notes taking, knowledge management, project & task management and file management. It helps users schedule tasks, manage files, save documents, set reminders, keep agendas, organize their work. Users can also embed online content in their Notion pages.

Notion also provides unlimited storage for it’s users making it an excellent platform to save archived files and manage them in one click. Also, In addition to cross-platform apps, it can be accessed via most web browsers. The student version also has version control enabling easy retrieval of edits made (in the previous 30 days) by a guest or team member.

Below are a few pointers to keep in mind while signing up:

  • Use your Webmail ID for signing up to get a personal pro account.
  • Make sure you select “For myself” during the signing up process.
  • Ensure that you DO NOT select the “With my team” option. (The Team mode isn’t free for educational accounts. You can add unlimited teammates as guests once you create a personal pro account with your webmail)
