How to Create a New Page
- Create an account in WikiNITT(top right button) and log in. (Note: Only webmail allowed)
- Go to Preference and confirm your email id.
- Edit the URL to nitt.wiki/index.php/(Required Title).
Note: Use underscore in between spaces and be wary that it is case sensitive. If the page title is going to be Yellow pages, the URL must be nitt.wiki/index.php/Yellow_Pages. For more reference, visit https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Starting_a_new_page
- The previous step redirects to new Page with specified title. Click Create button above the page title.
- Fill it up with the necessary content. Refer this user guide to use the editor https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide.
- Click Save Changes and add brief summary about the edit.
- The page will be sent for review by moderators. It will get updated upon their approval.
- Link this page by going to the page where the newly created page link should be added.
- Make the required changes and save changes. (Refer How to edit).
How to Edit an Existing Page
- Create an account in WikiNITT(top right button) and log in. (Note: Only webmail allowed)
- Go to Preference and confirm your email id.
- Go to webpage that needs to be edited.
- Click Edit button (above the page title).
- Edit the required content. Refer this user guide to use the editor https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide.
- Click Save Changes and add brief summary about the edit.
- The page will be sent for review to moderators. It will get updated upon their approval and the same will be notified in the TeCOS Discord Server.
How to Upload a File
- There are 2 ways to go the upload page:
- Go to https://nitt.wiki/index.php/Special:Upload
- The hyperlink is present under Tools in left navigation column (Click hamburger icon in mobile to open the navigation bar) with title as "Upload File".
- Choose the file to be uploaded and add summary about the file. (Note: It is preferred that the aspect ratio of photos to be set at 1:1 for maintaining uniformity)
- Click upload and file will be available to use once approved.
